The American Indian Film Festival is proud to present their 43rd season at the Brava Theater Center - one of the most eclectic and multifaceted arts venues in the Bay Area! The festival is an annual forum, which brings artists, filmmakers, musicians, talent and the general local public together to celebrate, support and experience work produced by native and non-native peoples while advocating for authentic representation of native people in the media. Join them this festival as they honor and celebrate the life’s work of the late Michael Smith, founder and director of American Indian Film Festival®.

With three exciting nights of performances featuring a diverse cadre of internationally renowned and emerging composers, this year's Festival lineup includes a distinctive group of artists from across the field of electronic music ranging from modular synthesis, concrète experimentalism, psychoacoustics, soundscapes, electro-acoustic environments, ambient noise, and improvisation. At Brava Theater Center, SFEMF will present modular synthesis vocalist Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe, Japanese-American artist of the Fluxus movement Yasunao Tone, Paris-based concrète and electro-acoustic experimentalist Kassel Jaeger, New York artist Vanessa Rossetto with a new film, multimedia artist and composer Collin McKelvey, noise artist Attilio Novellino from Italy, electro-acoustic multi-instrumentalist Glochids, evocative soundscape ritualists OMMO, and feedback systems and voice composer Sally Decker.

About SFEMF
The San Francisco Electronic Music Festival is an artist-run organization founded in 1999 by eight local sound artists and musicians. Since the first festival in 2000, SFEMF has presented works that span the sonic spectra from ambient to rhythmic and atonal to melodic by participants ranging from new and emerging young artists to respected pioneers of the electronic music field.
