Creating systemic change relies on our ability to share our stories, dreams, and strategize together in order to take collective action.
How is this collaboration possible when we speak different languages, to engage in meaningful dialogue when one language and culture has more privilege over others?
Language Justice engages everyone to participate fully so that all voices are heard and no one is left behind.
On October 1st, experience an immersive gathering of Bay Area community members, leaders and advocates offering insights, resources, a dynamic panel discussion and presentation. Meet new friends and unlikely partners, savor delicious food and inspiring music, concluding with a Call to Action!

Lograr un cambio sistémico depende de nuestra capacidad de compartir nuestras historias y sueños, y de elaborar estrategias conjuntas para emprender acciones colectivas.
¿Cómo es posible esta colaboración cuando hablamos lenguas diferentes, para dialogar con sentido cuando una lengua y una cultura tienen más privilegios que otras?
La Justicia Lingüística invita a la participación de todas las personas para que todas las voces sean escuchadas y nadie pueda ser excluido.
El 1 de octubre, disfrute de una convocatoria inmersiva de integrantes, líderes y defensores de la comunidad del Área de la Bahía, brindando ideas, recursos, un panel de discusión dinámico y presentaciones. Podrás conocer a nuevas amistades y aliados inesperados, saborear una deliciosa comida y música inspiradora, y concluir con una llamada a la acción.

A conduit of communication spanning twenty years, Liliana Herrera responds to her San Francisco Mission District community, the Bay Area and beyond as a language justice interpreter, translator, consultant and advocate. Her passion for Language Justice is rooted in the concept of meeting people where they're at, by cultivating partnerships and innovative strategies, so that people can communicate without barriers in the language of their hearts. As a daughter of the borderlands and inspired by her own musical family, Liliana is a singer/songwriter and voice over artist. Music, unceasingly lives in the center of her mission, and her words.

Un puente de comunicación desde hace veinte años, Liliana Herrera responde a su comunidad del Distrito de la Misión de San Francisco, al Área de la Bahía y más allá como intérprete, traductora, consultora y defensora de la justicia lingüística. Su pasión por la justicia lingüística se basa en el concepto de encontrarse con la comunidad donde se encuentra, cultivando alianzas y estrategias innovadoras, para que las personas puedan comunicarse sin barreras en el idioma de sus corazones. Como hija de la frontera e inspirada por su propia familia musical, Liliana es cantautora y locutora. La música, vive incansablemente en el centro de su misión, y sus palabras.
