Brava and BACCE present
So Soul San Francisco: Black Art Salon Series
Black Heaven: Spiritual House Party & Beauty Salon
Thursday, February 1 – 7pm
BACCE and Brava launch the So Soul San Francisco Black Art Salon series with Black Heaven: Spiritual House Party and Beauty Salon. It’s the advent of Black History Month and we’re kicking it off with food and fun as we dance to the sounds of Oakland's own DJ Black! Brava's brand-new cabaret space will be transformed into a special healing room where party goers can experience wellness, health and beauty and celebrate their freedoms, feminism and fierceness. We’re claiming 2018 for Black Art!
Hosted by BACCE's Edris Cooper-Anifowoshe, Kehinde Koyejo, Rotimi Agbabiaka, Indiia Wilmott, Shirley Smallwood, Aaron Wilton and Aejay Mitchell.
$10 - $25 sliding scale
No one turned away for lack of funds (subject to availability)
BACCE commemorates, celebrates and cultivates the phenomenal Black Art scene with So Soul San Francisco: Black Art Salons. Every third Thursday, BACCE takes over Brava's Cabaret to unleash Black Art in a series of salons that include performance, food, music and conversation. We invite the community to enjoy and share the tremendous artistic output of some of the Bay Area’s most exciting and dynamic performing artists.
Purchase the So Soul San Francisco: Black Art Salons Ticket Package and receive one ticket to each of the six Salons at the discounted rate of $15 per ticket. The Black Art Salons ticket package will be available for purchase until Feb 1.
