Dreaming with Whales - Expressive Arts Rituals with Vidhu Singh, PhD
Dreaming into Whalesong! on June 15, 2025 @2:00PM - 5:00PM
Inspired by the life-cycle of whales, these Expressive Arts sessions are an invitation for a creative exploration of the wisdom of whales as a metaphor and mirror for our own lives. Just like humans, whales carry unique stories and songs as they make their epic annual migration journeys. Harnessing our imaginations - let’s dream into the wonder of whales!
EXPRESSIVE ARTS Using a multi-modal approach, participants will nourish their creative expression through visual journaling, collage, poetry and expressive writing to deepen discovery and personal growth.
GUIDELINES Cultivating a safe environment to be able to be free in our creative expression and to share and witness each other’s work. This is a golden opportunity for creative exploration. All are welcome, no skill or creative experience necessary!
SUGGESTED MATERIALS a notebook and pen, watercolor/journal to draw on, coloring utensils such as watercolors/pencils/markers and a few cut out images you are drawn to. *Please bring whatever is easily accessible. We will bring the rest.
IMPORTANT NOTE Vidhu Singh is trained to facilitate Expressive Arts sessions. She is not a licensed therapist and each participant is responsible for their mental health and well-being. If you are dealing with issues beyond the scope of the session, please reach out to her in advance via Brava at info@brava.org.
SUGGESTED CONTRIBUTION Limited Capacity: 8-14 participants Sliding Scale: $25-$35+fees/session. On-site registration: 1:50 pm - 2 pm only *Sessions are 2.5 hours long, please allot 15-20 minutes to put away your art supplies. Participants are welcome to register for the series or for individual sessions.
Brava Resident Artist, Vidhu Singh, is an Expressive Arts Facilitator, a Social Emotional Arts Facilitator, and a SoulPages® Facilitator, training in NarrARTive Expressive Arts Coaching.
