Paseo Artístico: Celebración Afro-Latinx
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 2020
The Mission District’s FREE bimonthly community art stroll celebrates Black Latinx heritage and all movements for racial justice both locally and throughout the Americas, through art, performances, workshops, classes and historical archives in El Tecolote. This month’s stroll features such activities as Afro-Mexicano Son Jarocho fandango, spoken word, Afro-Cuban music, dance, Afro-Latino textiles and crafts, Puerto Rican Bilingual hip-hop, music and more!
As part of this month’s Paseo Artístico, Brava will host a Son Jarocho music performance and community fandango from 12pm to 1pm in our Cabaret. The session will feature Rubí Oseguera and other special guests.
See the poster below for a list of the day’s planned activities, or check out the Paseo Artístico Facebook page.
