QWOCMAP’s 12th annual Queer Women of Color Film Festival conjures up a spellbinding combination o 8 films in 4 screenings, and a remarkable international program of queer & trans films from Lati merica. he Festival Focus “Wages of Injustice: Queer & Trans Dollars and Sense” reveals the sleight of hand tha eaves so many in poverty, with a roundtable discussion about the “Exponential Hustle” of filmmakers. rom the allure of Femme friends to a TransLatina’s promising dream, from an Asian mother an aughter facing loss to safe havens for Black women, from the grace of Lebanese-Palestinian families t he rites of queer community through Cumbia, these films are talismans for love and abundance. l ilms are Subtitled for the Deaf & Hard-of- Hearing and ASL interpretation will be provided.
