lClose your eyes and imagine what the Mission sounds like…. paletero bells ringing, kids playing, Muni buses, lowriders bouncing, people chanting, music on street corners... “Sonido Del Barrio: ¡Viva Nuestra Misión! reminds us of the past, present and desired future of our community, the rich art and culture here and what we will continue to create in the face of adversity. The multi-disciplinary show features performances by Loco Bloco's Community Classes & Performance Ensemble and Guest Artists.

Loco Bloco utilizes dance, music and theater rooted in Afro-Latino traditions to support youth to overcome discrimination and bring about change in their communities. La Mision! A beautiful, diverse neighborhood rich in culture. We celebrate the families, trabajadores and artivists who contribute to the love and vibrancy of our community. We find pride in leaders and organizations in our neighborhood who fight to hold on to our roots. Loco Bloco is part of that lineage.
