Native American Health Center's Indigenous Vibrations
Saturday, May 23 7pm
Sponsored by the San Francisco Arts Commission, Indigenous Vibrations is a lineup of traditional and contemporary Native American Music by a variety of Native Artists. From round dance songs to sounds of the hand drum, from English to Ohlone lyrics, this is an evening of remembering and embracing a new story, a new song, a new beat that sings to the world that Indigenous people in the Bay Area are still here, thriving and creating music that speaks to the voice of today's Native Community(s). Join us for an evening of art, music, learning, workshop stations, opening by Corrina Gould (Chochenyo Ohlone), Danza Mitotiliztli by Calpulli Coatlicue, singing by Aurora Mamea (Blackfeet), Donovan Yazzie (Navajo), music by Wicahpiluta Candelaria (Rumsen Ohlone) and Grupo Puyakan.
