SF IndieFest Opening Night

February 6, 2014
Opening Night Film & Bash with Live Bands!

7pm:  Opening Night Film  The Congress
An aging actress – Robin Wright, playing a version of herself in one of the year’s bravest performances – gets an offer from a major studio to sell her soul and cinematic identity so that she’ll be “scanned” and her digitalized image used with no restrictions. The consequences of her decision will affect her in ways she didn’t consider. A heady blend of live action and animation from the director of Waltzing with Bashir, and based on Stanislaw Lem’s classic sci-fi novel. Plays with "Beasts In The Real World" (8mins). -KJ

9pm:  Opening Night Bash
Live on stage San Diego's VOKAB KOMPANY (Hip Hop/EDM/live band featuring electric violin) and GENE WASHINGTON AND THE IRONSIDES (Stax/Motown Soul with a capital "S"). ALL AGES.
