The Dynamite Show is a “wildly unique” (NBC) song and dance review best described as Fame meets the Muppets. This up-beat musical spectacle will feature live neo-vaudevillian Dixie brass band tunes with “jaw-dropping dance numbers” (7x7 Magazine) and slapstick antics. It will follow the colorful characters of Fou Fou Ha! to Hollywood, as they are invited to audition for a reality-TV talent competition. They go through many dance numbers ranging from tangos to rock-opera tunes and finally arrive in Hollywood to audition in front of a panel of judges (cameos played by local celebrity performers TBA) only to find that their heartfelt “foolishness” has no place in the status quo.

Written, directed and choreographed by Maya Culbertson-Lane, Fulbright Scholar and Artistic Director of Fou Fou Ha! and composed by Ryan Bebee, composer and director of Best of the Bay winning band The Gomorrans Social Aide and Pleasure Club, this original musical review features the talents of some of the bay area’s most versatile artists including Gerri Lawler of BATS, Nathan Cottam of the Peninsula Ballet, Jen Colasuanno of Lunatique Fantastique, Vegas Jenkins of Klown-fi rock band Gooferman with costume design by local designers including Dark Garden Unique Corsetry, Medium Reality and Trixie Designs.

Fou Fou Ha! www.foufouha.com is an comedy dance ensemble that combines satire and buffoonery with old-time animated cabaret numbers. Recently featured in The Guardian as one of the up-and-coming performance troupes in the bay area and named San Francisco’s “favorite new burlesque troupe” by the Examiner, Fou Fou Ha! has been described as having “wonderfully choreographed performance of comical buffoonery that left the crowd in laughter bordering tears” by Metrowise Magazine. They are coming out of a sold out run of Out of Order: A Musical that comes out of a toilet at Mama Calizo’s Voice Factory in Spring of 2009, receiving standing ovations and rave reviews like “If it’s Fou Fou HA! be ready for a fun show!” (SF Chronicle)

The Gomorrans Social Aide and Pleasure Club was voted favorite indie band in SF Weekly’s Best the Bay and have been described as “a gloriously lurid whisky - marinated Dixieland delirium” by the SF Bay Guardian. They are lead by Ryan Bebee who writes, directs, and produces for the group. His score composition for Dark Porches’ production of The In-Betweens was described as a "catchy" "eclectic" "haunting score" by the local press. A one-act play he wrote was produced twice by Sleepwalkers Theater Company and called "intelligent and playful" by the SF Bay Guardian and "borderline extraordinary" by the SF Weekly. Ryan also founded the Dead Hensons, the world's most celebrated Muppet cover band. Aside from his work with the Gomorrans, he's currently writing and producing songs for a new girl harmony fronted outfit called the Bitter Honeys.
