Liliana Herrera's Late Night Taco Stand Music CD Release Concert and Taco Tardeada
SUNDAY, JUNE 3 - 6PM
Late Night Taco Stand Music sizzles with Chicana Soul in the Mission!
Singer/Songwriter Liliana Herrera unveils her unique flavor of Chicana Soul on her scintillating debut EP, “Late Night Taco Stand Music,” slated for release on June 1, 2018 on Oakland’s Round Whirled Records and a CD Release Tardeada (community PARTY) on Sunday, June 3rd at Brava Theater's Cabaret. “Late Night Taco Stand Music” emblazons the echoes of borderland folklore, Afro Latinx rhythms, and heart-stringed blues into a delicious bilingual tonic. This fresh musical odyssey diffuses stereotypes, inspires unity and builds bridges of love. At this pivotal time in our world, it is (r)evolutionary to link our musical stories to our humanity, our cultural grit to our empathy. Liliana grew up on the Southern California border and her voice echoes the soul of Mexico and urban U.S. in a hybrid that embodies the Chicana experience. She has sung everything from mariachi to cumbia, opera, rock, R&B, folk and salsa. Influenced early on by a musical family and a vast musical trajectory, Late Night Taco Stand Music will give you all the feels—in English, Spanish and in between, you’ll feel the grooves inside your seams.
