Amigos de la Peña del Sur gather to pay homage to Fernando Romero, who has been quintessential to the careers of so many musicians from Latino America.

Born in México City but a longtime resident of San Francisco, Fernando Romero helped found the cultural organization La Peña del Sur to promote and nourish Latin American culture and enrich the lives of Bay Area artists and residents. Always the man behind the curtain, Fernando has been instrumental in helping musicians, writers, and visual artists blossom.
